There is a lot of work that goes into enamel pins and their production. They are worked on by people that put their hard work and time into a very long process; because of this there can be errors but this is also why we appreciate every pin and are not subjective to small blemishes. I do not believe a beautiful pin should be categorized as a lower grade because of super small blemishes that are hardly noticeable. Here is how we grade our pins here at Devious.
"Standard" - These pins are in either perfect condition or near perfect condition. Some very minor defects like minor small air bubbles, a light scratch, or a very small puncture can appear on an A-grade pin but not often. Normally when they do appear, they are very small and aren't noticeable unless the pin is held up very close to the eye upon examination. "B" - Pin has defects such as missing enamel, a rather deep puncture or hard scratch, large uneven or caved in epoxy area, or a larger amount of visible air bubbles. These pins normally can hold their own and are very deserving of love.
